US Adult Soccer Association’s Region I Cup Competitions that will lead teams to the National Finals weekend are set to begin in April. The US Amateur Cup Champion in East Penn, the Vereinigung Erzgebirge, will play at home in Warminster during the Quarter Final Round of the Regional Competition.

Erzgebirge is a three time consecutive winner of the East Penn Amateur Cup and hopes to improve upon their play in the Regional Tournament this year. VE is a member and founding club of the United Soccer League of Pennsylvania, one of Region I’s only Elite US Amateur Leagues. In the USLPA’s Major Division, Erzgebirge is currently in first place having played nine of this season’s games. They have a record of (7-0-2)*

Jersey Shore Boca plays in the Garden State Soccer League Super Division where they currently sit in second place having played 10 games. They have a record of (6-3-1)*.

The US Amateur Cup dates back to 1923. Region I Director, Fritz Marth has called it the “Crowned Jewel” of the US Adult Soccer Association. The Amateur Cup has over 90 years of history. Those who lift the Cup every year can claim they are the true “Amateur Champions” in all of the United States of America.
