“In response to increasingly large number of teams entering the National Challenge Cup,” is the line we often hear and say when we talk about the U.S. ‘Amateur Challenge Cup’ and its founding in 1923. Its the oldest note of history we have about the first Amateur Cup in the United States for soccer. Below are links to histories of the three cups we cover here at uscupsoccer as well as biographies to the namesakes, and maps of the champions.
- ‘FRITZ MARTH’ U.S. AMATEUR CUP
- ‘WERNER FRICKER’ OPEN CUP
